Xofigo Approved In 2013
Recently, radiation oncologist, Theresa Pagliuca, MD, board-certified radiation oncologist at WCA Hospital Cancer Treatment Center, began administering Xofigo, a treatment for patients with prostate cancer that has metastasized (spread) to the bones and who have failed other treatments. When prostate cancer metastasized to the bone, it can be very painful for the patient and increase the risk of fractures. WCA Hospital is the first in the region to introduce the new treatment. The treatment Xofigo was approved by the FDA three years ago.
