DiNapoli audit critical of Western OTB oversight

An audit released Wednesday by state Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli of the Western Regional Off-Track Betting Corp. found poor oversight of operations by the board of directors, cost overruns and significant estimation errors. Sheridan site wins Empire State Development funding

A Chautauqua County location has been selected for funding by Empire State Development under the Focused Attraction of Shovel-Ready Tracts New York program. According to a news release issued Tuesday, the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency is receiving $675,000 for a town of Sheridan effort. This predevelopment project will allow for shovel-ready advancement of the long-vacant 657-acre Eagle Bay site. Lincoln Archives Inc /LACyber has acquired The Shred Center of Jamestown. The transaction closed on Jan. 29, 2026, with Lincoln Archives beginning service to Shred Center clients on Feb. 3.
