WCA Foundation, Rotary Club to host community lunch with Hillman Cancer Center oncologist

Dr. Nabeela K. Patail will speak to members of the Jamestown Rotary Club later this month.

The public is invited to a free lunch and presentation during the Rotary Club of Jamestown's regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Oct. 26, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Jamestown.

Presented in partnership with the WCA Foundation, the luncheon will feature Dr. Nabeela Patail, a medical oncologist and hematologist at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Chautauqua.

Patail will discuss breast cancer prevention and early detection, advances in treatment, and the importance of having access to high-quality cancer care close to home.

Patail earned her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada. She completed her residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. She is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

The lunch and presentation are free and open to the public, with funding provided through a WCA Foundation grant in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about breast cancer care, screening recommendations, treatment advances, and oncology services available locally at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Chautauqua.
