Students at Harvey C. Fenner Elementary School recently took part in a celebration of summer learning. In June, students were presented with the challenge to "Glide into Summer Learning" by reading and/or completing math problems on at least 50 days throughout the summer. Those who completed the challenge were recognized and rewarded for their hard work as they paraded out to a schoolwide assembly wearing gold medals. The students were entered into several prize drawings and enjoyed sweet treats and outdoor games in the sunshine. The staff and students at Fenner Elementary thanked The Post-Journal for a donation of bikes and helmets, and the Fenner School Parent Teacher Organization for sponsoring additional prizes and treats in support of the Summer Learning Challenge.
