Wicked Warren’s and the Robert H. Jackson Center have partnered to launch “The Justice,” a commemorative amber honey lager created to celebrate the center’s 25th anniversary and support civic education inspired by the legacy of Justice Robert H. Jackson and the lessons of Nuremberg.
Made with caramel malts and local honey, the 6% ABV lager debuted Saturday, Sept. 12, at Jackson After Dark, the center’s annual fundraiser. Commemorative cans were available at the Jackson event while cans and draft pours were available at a release party held Monday.
“We wanted to create a smooth, distinctive, and balanced flavor profile worthy of the legacy it honors,” said Rob Roth, owner of Wicked Warren’s.
The label features an often-quoted line from a Justice Jackson Supreme Court decision that urges democratic activation: “It is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error.” It is paired with imagery recognizing Jackson's contributions and the Center’s 25th anniversary.
“This collaboration gives our community a meaningful way to celebrate the Jackson Center’s 25th anniversary and support the civic education work at the heart of our mission,” said David Niles, Robert H. Jackson Center development director. “We are grateful to Wicked Warren’s for helping us mark this milestone with something local, thoughtful, and memorable.”
