Brocton school leaders earn awards

The National Association of Educational Office Professionals has selected Jason Delcamp, Brocton Central School superintendent, and Ashley Means, confidential secretary CEOE, as top national award recipients for 2026.

Means, who also serves as district clerk of the Brocton Central School District, was named the recipient of the 2026 Olive T. Ritchie Educational Office Professional of the Year. Nominated for the award by the Chautauqua County Association of Educational Office Professionals, Means was commended by her colleagues for her professionalism, compassion and work ethic.

Delcamp earned national distinction as the 2026 Educational Administrator of the Year. Nominated by the New York State Association of Educational Office Professionals, Delcamp was recognized for his support of educational office staff, his emphasis on continuous professional growth and his leadership.

Delcamp and Means are the first individuals from New York state to win the awards since their inception in 1973. It's also the first time in the 53-year history of the awards that an administrator and a secretary from the same school district have received both honors in the same year.

Delcamp and Means were formally presented with their awards in Portland, Ore., during the annual NAEOP Conference.
