Reg Lenna To Screen 'The Invite' Wednesday
Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde (also directing), Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton star in the comedy-drama The Invite, which will be screened at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. Upcoming movies at The Reg include: Comedian John Early directing and starring in the satirical comedy Maddie’s Secret – Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. Toy Story 5 – Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 22 at 2 p.m., the Deadhead community music documentary Summer Tour – Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. and Minions & Monsters – Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online (reglenna.com) and by phone at 716-484-7070. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The theater and box office at The Reg are located at 116 E. Third St., Jamestown. The box office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before movies and events.
Legion Unit 1280 Auxiliary To Meet Today
CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 will hold its annual summer dish-to-share gathering at 6 p.m. today, Aug. 11, in the legion hall. A short meeting will follow.
Quilt Guild To Meet Wednesday
BUSTI – The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will meet Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Busti 5 Corners Community Church in Busti for its annual silent auction. Items for the auction can be brought to the church today from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the guild's community sew. Items can also be taken to Quilters' Haven and Yarn Shop from noon to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 11. In addition to the silent auction Carol Lou Eisenhardt will be doing a program on label making. Refreshments/social time is 6 to 6:30 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. The church is at the 5 corners in Busti across from the fire department. Quilters' Haven is in the Jamestown Mattress Plaza on Fairmount Avenue.
United Senior Council To Meet Thursday
LAKEWOOD – The United Senior Council will meet Thursday, Aug. 13, at the home of Connie Whitman, 321 E. Terrace Ave., Lakewood, for its summer picnic. MAYVILLE – The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the sewer plant at 50 Clark St., Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today, Aug. 11, in the board room in Southwestern Middle School. The public is welcome to attend.
