ASHVILLE – The Ashville Library will hold its annual book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
The sale offers many brand-new fiction books, some collectable books and a wide selection of non-fiction, as well as games, puzzles, children's books and toys and DVDs. Hardcovers, Fine softcovers and DVDs and puzzles are $1 and 50 cents for small paperbacks. Children's books are 50 cents, with smaller paperbacks selling five for $1. On Saturday, bags of books may be purchased for $5. Henry the cat is not for sale, but can be glimpsed watching shoppers from his office.
The Books and Bottles Preview Sale will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with a $5 admission purchasing a glass of wine and appetizers with the pre-sale. Baskets will be drawn at the close of the Books and Bottles event (no need to be present), and tickets are available at the library until then.
