Jamestown DAR Chapter honors local students

The Jamestown Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution recently held an award ceremony at the Partridge-Sheldon House to honor local students who had been selected by their schools.

Students were chosen due to their conduct in their schools and communities as they demonstrate the qualities of honor, leadership, service and patriotism. The Good Citizen award is given to 12th grade students and the Youth Leadership award is presented to eighth graders. Each student selected receives a certificate and small award and is recognized at their school’s award ceremony as well as by the DAR.
