Grant Zahm of the Jamestown Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron NY 402 was recognized for his achievements at the squadron and his acceptance to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. Zahm received a certificate from state Sen. George Borrello's and state Assemblyman Andrew Molitor's office. Of 10,099 applicants, only 1,132 were accepted at an 11.21% acceptance rate, per the U.S. Air Force Academy website.
