Foote Avenue To Be Closed Between Allen, Water Streets
County Public Facilities construction crews will be working on Foote Avenue in Jamestown between Allen Street and Water Street today, July 7. The project is expected to be completed today. A detour will be posted.
Prendergast Library To Host Curiosity Club
The Prendergast Library will host its Curiosity Club for teen and adult patrons ages 14 and up to experience new interests, enjoy light refreshments, and learn about activities Jamestown has to offer. Running Tuesdays in July at 5:30 p.m., the library will offer Unearthing Your Story: Preserving Personal History and Creating Your Legacy. There is no cost to attend this program. The Jamestown Public Schools District Board of Education will hold its annual reorganizational meeting today, July 7, at 6 p.m. in the boardroom of the administration building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

The Southwestern Central School District Board of Education will hold its reorganizational meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.
County Land Bank Board To Meet Wednesday
MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation’s monthly board meeting will take place in Mayville at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, with the option to view live via YouTube. The public is welcome to attend. A recording of the meeting will be available afterward. Land Bank board meetings are conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by the land bank and other official business as required. Falconer Time Capsule To Be Opened July 25
FALCONER – The Falconer Time Capsule placed in 1976 will be opened on Saturday, July 25, in a ceremony to begin at 2 p.m. in Davis Park on Homestead Avenue in Falconer. The Time Capsule Committee is seeking individuals who were present or added items to the time capsule 50 years ago.
