Jamestown Municipal Band to perform Wednesday

Come Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Allen Park Bandshell for a special Patriotic Concert performed by the Jamestown Municipal Band. They will be playing all your favorite American classics. The Allen Park Ladies Club will be running the concession stand, serving up hot dogs, popcorn, penny candies, and their famous homemade fudge.

Tree of Life Food Cupboard closed Friday

The Tree of Life Food Cupboard, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown, will be closed on Friday, July 3. Regular food cupboard hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Celebrate America’s 250th at the Fenton History Center

All are invited to the Fenton History Center’s Scoops & Liberty Ice Cream Social honoring America’s 250th birthday and the 207th birthday of Gov. Reuben E. Fenton Friday, July 3, from 6-8 p.m. for ice cream, music, speakers, and historic fun. City historian Mike Rohlin will be speaking about life during the Revolution, the closest battle and other interesting historical facts. Local historian, genealogist and Fenton Office Manager Andrew Kolstee will speak about Gov. Reuben E. Fenton’s life and times as we celebrate his birthday a day early. Guests are invited to wear colonial costumes as we gather on the eve of Independence Day to celebrate local and national history, along with the legacy of Jamestown’s own Reuben E. Fenton. Admission is free, donations are welcome to support the Fenton History Center’s mission to preserve local history and offer educational programs. The event will be held rain or shine.

Music Festival at Southern Tier Brewery Friday

LAKEWOOD – On Friday, July 3 the grounds of Southern Tier Brewery will be the site of a growing one-day music festival, honoring our Nation’s birthday and joining all the events surrounding it. This year the tradition continues with several bands and small acts taking the stage to keep the party dancing. Beginning at noon and stretching into dusk the stage will alight with a variety of ensembles. The venue will be open at 11 a.m., and beginning at 3 p.m. Rochester’s “That Ted,” “Juvenile Characteristics,” a Northeast PA and WNY favorite, Nashville recording artist Sean Patrick McGraw, “Beard and the Bird” from San Diego, and Western New York’s Uncle Ben’s Remedy are all slated to perform. Southern Tier Brewery is located at 2072 Stoneman Circle, Lakewood. Admission is free and food and beverage will be available for purchase.

North Lake Sewer District Board To Meet July 6

MAYVILLE – The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, in the Carlson Community Center, 50 West Lake Road, Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.
