JHS names April Students of Month

Jamestown High School officials recently named the school’s Students of the Month for April. They are:

Mason Crawford, ninth grade and the son of Joseph and Allison Crawford. Mason is a member of the baseball, basketball, and football teams at JHS. In his spare time, Mason helps umpire baseball for the Babe Ruth League. After graduation, he plans to study engineering at the University of North Carolina.

Milani Morales, 10th grade and the daughter of Karen Snow. Milani is part of the Early College High School Program, the Liberty Partnership Program, and Striders Mentoring. After school, she attends Chess Club. In her spare time, she has volunteered at St. Susan’s Soup Kitchen and Community Helping Hands. After graduation, she plans to attend college, but is still exploring majors. Her mother is very proud of all her accomplishments. She has a great future ahead of her.

Jason Leenders, 11th grade and the son of Twan and Casey Leenders. He is a captain of the varsity tennis team, a member of the cross country team and a member of the JHS Concert Band. In his free time, Jason enjoys skiing, camping, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.

Samuel Mathis, 12th grade and the son of Leslie and Joseph Calimeri. Sam plays percussion in the JHS Concert Band, sings in the A Cappella Choir, is a member of the National Honor Society, is a member of the varsity tennis team, and has participated in numerous school musical productions. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing tennis, and practicing his instruments. Post-graduation, Sam plans to attend Binghamton University, and is currently undecided.
