Four charged after DWI, narcotics probe
Four area residents are facing charges after a driving while intoxicated, and narcotics, investigation.
Lawrence L. Boughton, 55, of Falconer was charged June 15 with driving while ability impaired by drugs, Megan M. Webb, 27, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Ricky L. Bemis, 49, of Jamestown was charged with having an outstanding bench warrant, and Charles N. Dean, 27, of Jamestown was charged with having an outstanding bench warrant.
According to Jamestown Police, at about 2:34 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the south side. Officers made contact with Boughton, the driver, and his passengers Bemis, Dean, and Webb. While speaking with the vehicle’s occupants, officers were informed that Bemis and Dean had outstanding bench warrants for not appearing in court. Further investigation, police said, determined that Boughton allegedly was operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed that Webb was found to be in alleged possession of a quantity of suboxone along with a large quantity of methamphetamine on her person.
All four were placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. They will be in Jamestown City Court later.
