Reg Lenna To Screen ‘Hoppers’ June 6

The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen the film Hoppers at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6. Hoppers is Disney/Pixar’s newest animated feature. Animal lover Mabel seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a life-like robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. As she uncovers mysteries in the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined, Mabel befriends charismatic beaver King George and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major, imminent human-threat: smooth-talking local mayor Jerry Generazzo. Kiwanis Club Sponsoring AMBA Wellness Program June 26

The Jamestown Kiwanis Club is sponsoring an AMBA Wellness Program on June 6, at the Tree of Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown, from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The AMBA Wellness Program includes blood tests for coronary disease, liver and kidney disease, anemia, diabetes, and other types of diseases. The cost for the full AMBA panel is $60. In addition, the Jamestown Kiwanis Club will collect a $10 sponsorship fee which will assist various local programs for children such as the JHS Key Club, Jamestown Boys & Girls Club, youth soccer, and vocational scholarships. The following optional tests are also available for an additional fee and require a separate script from a physician: Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), Thyroid (TSH), Vitamin D 25, Hemoglobin A1C, and Insure Colon Rectal Kit. Watts Flats UMC To Host Musical Program Sunday

ASHVILLE – Joyce Igo and Steven Nichols will present a musical program at Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Ashville, on Sunday, June 7. There will be a pot luck dinner at 5 p.m. with the program to follow. The public is welcome to attend.

Boating Safety Course Is Saturday In Westfield

WESTFIELD – A New York State Boating Safety Certificate course will be hosted by the Westfield Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Navigation Patrol from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. The course is free. Students must be at least 10 years old to take the course. Adults over the age of 18 who pass the course will pay a $10 fee to New York state for a permanent certificate.
