Blackstone Advanced Technologies hosts welding competition

Blackstone Advanced Technologies recently hosted its annual welding competition, bringing together student and professional welders from across the region to showcase their skills, precision and craftsmanship in a competitive manufacturing environment.

Taking first place in the Student Division was James Delellis of BOCES Hewes Center in Ashville. Delellis impressed judges with outstanding weld quality, accuracy and consistency throughout his piece.

Second place was awarded to Tyrick Nadi of WNY P-TECH. Nadi demonstrated strong technical skill and attention to detail during the contest.

Earning third place honors was Grady Obert of Chautauqua Lake Central School. Obert’s performance reflected the dedication and hands-on training being developed through local welding programs.

In the Professional Division outside of Blackstone, Sydnee Ganoung earned first place, showcasing excellent welding expertise and craftsmanship against a competitive field of experienced welders.
