The donation will support ongoing maintenance and improvement efforts at Westfield Memorial Hospital.

WESTFIELD – Mathews Tree Service of Westfield, owned and operated by George Mathews, recently donated $7,500 worth of professional tree removal services to the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The donated services will help improve the safety, accessibility, and overall appearance of hospital grounds. Mathews said the decision to give back was rooted in a deep appreciation for the hospital’s important role it plays – not only in his own family since Mathews and his siblings were born at the hospital, but also in the extended community as well.

“Westfield Memorial Hospital is an essential part of the community – it’s where families turn in some of their most important and difficult moments,” said Mathews. “As a local business owner, I believe it’s important to support the institutions that take care of our friends and neighbors. This donation is just one way we can give back and help ensure the hospital continues to serve the Chautauqua region for many years to come.”

Dr. Rodney J. Buchanan, WMH administrator, and Patricia Gaughan DiPalma, executive director of the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation, thanked Mathews, who continues giving back to the hospital along with his parents, Dale and Dave Mathews.

Starting at $3.50/week.
