MAYVILLE – William A. Lucas will present “Traveling with the Amish: Past and Present” at the Chautauqua Town Historical Society’s monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, in the Veteran’s Memorial Meeting Room in the Chautauqua Town Hall, 2 Academy St., Mayville.

William Lucas, a member of the Chautauqua Town Historical Society, has traveled extensively with the Amish from a number of communities in several different states. From his more than 40 years of driving the Amish on their trips to many states, he has gained first hand insights regarding the daily aspects that shape their lives.

Lucas is an award-winning photographer who has documented and exhibited photos that chronicle Amish lives within the changing modern society.
