Hazeltine Public Library trustees met recently to elect officers and set their annual budget and agenda. Officers pictured, from top to bottom, are Christine Frankson, vice chair, Deb Siggins, secretary, Kim Butler, chair, Judy Haller, treasurer and Jennifer Parkinson, trustee. Members meet monthly and applications for anticipated openings on the board are available at the library. “We are a small rural library that depends on these volunteers to oversee our operations,” said Katie Smith, library director. “Their input is very valuable in helping us respond to community needs and plan for our future. We’d love to have input from more interested individuals, serving on the board is a great way to support the library and you don’t need to be a Town of Busti resident, just have an interest in the library.” The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, and can be reached at 716-487-1281.
