Audubon Admission Is Free On Memorial Day

In recognition of Memorial Day, Audubon Community Nature Center building admission is free on Monday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The building includes three floors of interactive indoor exhibits and live animals including birds, turtles, salamanders and snakes. Outdoors, the nearly 600-acre nature preserve is always open from dawn to dusk and includes the live birds of prey, native tree arboretum, gardens, picnic area, Nature Play Area, and hike the six miles of trails.

First Lutheran To Celebrate Confirmation Sunday

First Lutheran Church will celebrate Pentecost Sunday and Confirmation Sunday with a combined worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 24. Six young people will be confirmed including Jonah Gruber, Noah Johnson, Cara Laurin, Wyatt Sorenson, Elianna Vazque and Andrew Winchester. The Sacred Fire Team, directed by Kimberly King, will play the prelude and communion music. The First Lutheran Choir will sing the offertory anthem entitled Come, Holy Spirit, God and Lord by Lani Smith, directed by Brian A. Bogey, organist/choirmaster. Holy Communion will be observed and the Rev. Daniel K. Nagle will be the celebrant and preacher. A reception in the church parlors will take place immediately after the festival worship service. The public is welcome to attend.

Lakewood Cancels Monday Board Meeting Due To Holiday

LAKEWOOD – The Village of Lakewood Board of Trustees Meeting scheduled on Monday, May 25, has been cancelled due to the Memorial Day holiday. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 in Village Hall, 20 W. Summit St., Lakewood. The public is welcome to attend.

North Maple Street, North Harmony, To Close Thursday

County Public Facilities construction crews will be working on North Maple Street in North Harmony, between Fardink Road and Route 394, on Thursday. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the day Thursday. A detour will be posted.

Der Kobblers Cruise In Is Saturday At Davis Park

FALCONER – The Der Kobblers Automobile Association will be holding its 19th annual cruise in on Saturday, May 23, at Davis Park in Falconer from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All makes and models of cars are invited. For more information call Sam Ognibene at 716-450-0663.

Section Of Tiffany Avenue To Be Closed Thursday, Friday

County Public Facilities construction crews will be working on Tiffany Avenue in Jamestown between Hopkins Avenue and East Second Stree. The road will be closed beginning Thursday, May 21, and work is expected to be completed Friday.
