The Southwestern Middle School Student Council recently completed two initiatives to promote positivity within the school community. Following a schoolwide candy-gram sale, students voted to donate the proceeds to Lakewood Kitten Rescue, supporting a local organization dedicated to animal care. In addition, Student Council members created a spring-themed art installation, featuring colorful blooms displayed in windows throughout the overpass to help brighten the space.
