Pets Of The Week: Theo – Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue
Theo, this week’s Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week, is a 3-year-old golden retriever/poodle mix weighing 57 pounds. He is sporting a new haircut for spring time – his coat was a bit of a mess, but now that he’s all cleaned up and groomed, he’ll soon be fluffy and curly again. What he lacks in heft he makes up for in height. He is a good-natured guy, but still has all the exuberance and energy of youth, and is quite strong – he will benefit from ongoing obedience and leash training to help him learn good manners, and plenty of daily exercise and play. He is dog-friendly with most other dogs, and seems to be house trained, too. His favorite thing is to take his toys outside and lay in the sun for a little chew session. He comes with a built-in alarm system, too, and will happily alert people to visitors with his big, cheerful bark. Read more about him, see more photos, and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org. Visit the resident dogs at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, no appointment needed. For more information email adoptions@caninerescue.org.
