Ollie – Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue
Ollie was transferred to NCCR from an overcrowded shelter facility to give him a better chance at finding his forever family. He is a neutered male believed to be a Labrador/Husky mix, full-grown at approximately 45-50 lbs., and approximately 2 years old. Ollie is a wonderful pup with good house manners and basic obedience skills. He gets along with most other friendly pups, but he plays hard, so he may be too much for smaller dogs or those that don’t enjoy his rowdy style. True to his Husky heritage, Ollie believes that good communication is key, and he will tell you all about his complaints when he wants something or is unhappy about being in his kennel – he doesn’t like being all by himself. He walks well on a leash, and even does ok living with cats (although he may chase them, he doesn’t seem interested in harming them). With a little more polishing, he’ll become a real gem! You can read more about Ollie and all the available dogs at www.caninerescue.org and apply to adopt. Visit the shelter to meet the resident dogs in person at 7540 N. Gale Street in Westfield, Monday – Saturday 1-3 p.m., no appointment needed. Have a question? Email us at adoptions@caninerescue.org.
