Reagan Howard, an advanced pre-professional Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet student, has been accepted to two 2026 summer ballet intensive programs.

Reagan will be attending Pittsburgh Ballet Theater’s Youth 2-Week Summer Intensive. PBT selects students from across the country to participate in an immersive and rigorous training program led by PBT School faculty and guest instructors with national and international professional experience.

Dancers in the program build upon their training and grow their artistry by completing 40 studio hours of instruction in a curriculum that includes: pointe, repertoire, technique, variations, jazz, modern, conditioning, pilates. Dancers develop stronger technique while gaining experience in class, rehearsal and performance settings. The intensive experience concludes with a studio demonstration.

She has also been accepted to the Chautauqua Institution Schools of Performing and Visual Arts, Workshop Division Mini Intensive. During the four-day program, students train with expert Chautauqua Dance faculty and guest artists focusing on classical ballet, pointe, variations, repertoire, pilates and more. The intensive experience also culminates in a studio presentation that highlights the dancers’ growth and versatility. This is Reagan’s second year in this program.

“Combined with Reagan’s talent, her commitment and work ethic makes it no surprise that she has accomplished success in her auditions,” said Monika Alch, Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet artistic director.

Reagan danced the Ballerina Doll solo in the 2025 CRYB production of The Nutcracker.
