Prevention Works Offering ‘Team Awareness’

Prevention Works, with funding from United Way of Chautauqua County, is offering “Team Awareness,” a professional development training designed to help organizations build healthier, more effective and more engaged teams.

The training equips employees and leaders with tools to improve communication, recognize risk factors and foster a supportive workplace environment. Team Awareness focuses on increasing understanding of how stress, mental health, and substance use can impact individuals and teams at work. Through interactive discussion and evidence-based strategies, participants learn how to recognize early warning signs, support colleagues appropriately, and access helpful resources–while maintaining professionalism and respect.

“Healthy teams are the foundation of successful organizations,” said Melanie Witkowski, executive director, at Prevention Works. “Team Awareness empowers employees with knowledge and skills that promote safety, resilience, and collaboration, ultimately improving both well-being and productivity.”

This professional development training is appropriate for a wide range of workplaces and can be tailored to meet the needs of organizations across industries. Team Awareness supports organizational goals related to employee wellness, retention, and performance, while reinforcing a culture of care and accountability.

Team Awareness is available as an on-site or virtual training and can be integrated into existing professional development initiatives.
