Pixie, Trixie Are NCCR Dogs Of Week
Pixie, Trixie Are NCCR Dogs Of Week Pixie and Trixie, this week’s Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dogs of the Week, are in need of a loving home. They have been together for years and we would like for them to stay together. Pixie is a spayed mini pinscher who loves to be petted and adored. She is 9 years old but still has a lot of spunk. She thinks she’s the boss, and enjoys walks with her bonded companion Trixie, a female rat terrier. Pixie likes to lay next to people on the couch. She knows commands, including sit and will go to her large kennel cage when someone points and says cage. She is house- and kennel-trained. Pixie may be nervous around larger dogs until she gets used to them, but warms up with good introductions and time to adjust. When she is nervous her kennel is her safe space. Trixie loves everyone. She is 8 years old, spayed, very friendly, well behaved, and obedient. She needs an average amount of exercise, but prefers to be a couch potato. She is also house- and kennel-trained. This pair of pups is positively perfect if you are looking for companions that are "move-in ready" and won't require much additional training beyond giving them some time to adjust to a new routine in a new place. Read more about them and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org. An approved application and a scheduled appointment are required to meet them, as they are living off-site and are not at the shelter. Visit the resident adoptable dogs Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m., no appointment needed, at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. For more information email adoptions@caninerescue.org.
