An accidental fire led to minor injuries over the weekend. Around 7:21 a.m. Saturday, the Fluvanna Fire Department and several mutual aid agencies responded to a residential structure fire on Willow Avenue. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct an origin and cause fire investigation. Investigators were able to determine that the fire originated on the first story of the structure due to an accidental cause. One person was transported to UPMC Chautauqua.
