Joyce Bess

The Elizabeth Warner Marvin House has named Joyce Bess to its board.

After a career as an educator, Bess retired from Jamestown Public Schools, where she was known for her dedication to students and her passion for learning. Following her retirement, she became a certified lactation counselor, working with young mothers and families to encourage and support breastfeeding.

Bess has been a member of the Marvin House for more than 15 years prior to joining the board.

“It is a wonderful place where I have had church dinners, baby showers, and anniversary parties,” Bess said.
