Apricity Is NCCR Dog Of Week

This week’s Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Apricity, whose name means “the warmth of sunlight in winter”. Believed to be a Labrador mix, she is 1-2 years old and fully grown. Apricity is gorgeous, smart, and her foster family describes her as “absolutely the perfect, loving dog.” She just chills in the house, sleeps in a crate all night, comes when called, is wonderful in the car, and allows nail trims without a fuss. Her leash skills are improving with training and repetition. She will potty outside when asked, if there’s a treat in someone’s pocket. She’s very social with people on outings, too, and seems to love just about everyone she meets – though she has a bit of prey drive and likes to chase small critters. She lived with a pair of dogs in her previous home, and seems to be somewhat anxious about being left alone without anyone to keep her company. Read more about her and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org. While Apricity is in an off-site foster home, those interested in adoption can meet the other resident dogs Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, no appointment needed. For more information email adoptions@caninerescue.org.

Starting at $3.50/week.
