Amber Is NCCR Dog Of Week
Amber, this week’s Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week, is full of personality and heart Amber can be a little extra bouncy and silly when she’s faced with new people or situations that make her a bit nervous. She very much wants attention and connection. Once she realizes she’s with a friend, her playful side comes out, and she’s happy to soak up love and join in on the fun. Around 1.5 years old, Amber was found abandoned locally and has a lingering slight limp from injuries sustained after being hit by a car while she was out on her own, but she still enjoys being active and loves to run around. Amber is thought to be a Labrador/Terrier mix weighing around 50 pounds. She’s still learning new skills, and will benefit from continued training, patience, and positive reinforcement. Amber may be able to share a home with another friendly dog around to show her the ropes, although she could also do well as an only dog. Read more about her and all of the available dogs and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org. Visit the shelter from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield.
