Melody F. Snyder-Pratt

A Fredonia woman is facing charges after an alleged relationship with a minor.

Melody F. Snyder-Pratt, 21, was charged with first-degree disseminating indecent material to a minor.

According to officials, in October 2025, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division was made aware of an alleged sex offense.

Upon further investigation, it was found that Snyder-Pratt allegedly engaged in a relationship with a 15-year-old victim for a period of time. Officials said Snyder-Pratt also allegedly disseminated indecent material to the same victim and propositioned the victim to meet and engage in sexual acts.

On Jan. 20, at about 11 a.m., Investigators located Snyder-Pratt at her residence and she was placed into custody. Snyder-Pratt was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail, and will appear in the Chautauqua County Supreme Court later.
