Butterball Is NCCR Dog Of Week

Butterball is a recent arrival at the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, brought in as an area stray who went unclaimed by his owner. Butterball is eager to begin his next chapter with a committed forever family that will give him the love and devotion he so deserves. He is social, friendly, and affectionate, knows some basic commands already, and seems to be house trained, too. Butterball isn’t very plump or round as his name might imply, weighing a healthy 45 to 50 pounds, but he does have a buttery soft, thick, luxurious coat that is a joy to pet. Butterball gets along with the other dogs he has met so far, seems to love just about everyone, and is quiet and well behaved in his kennel. At 3-5 years old, he is past all the unruly puppy behavior of his youth, but still has many years ahead. Read more about Butterball and all the available dogs at www.caninerescue.org, or visit the shelter in person Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m., no appointment needed.
