After Traffic Stop, City Man Faces Drug Charges

A Jamestown man is facing drug charges after a routine traffic stop.
Samuel Arrington, 20, was charged Saturday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
According to police, at about 7:29 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Second and North Main streets for observed traffic infractions.
Upon further investigation, it was found that Arrington, the occupant of the vehicle, allegedly was in possession of a quantity of cocaine. Arrington was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. While at the jail, a search was conducted, and officers found 28 grams of individual packages of fentanyl on Arrington’s person.
He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
