The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Realtors recently presented a donation check to Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. in support of the organization’s Safe House and Homelessness Prevention Program.

The contribution will assist Chautauqua Opportunities in providing emergency shelter services, crisis assistance and ongoing support to individuals and families facing homelessness or domestic violence. The Safe House program offers secure, confidential shelter for victims of domestic violence, while the Homelessness Prevention Program works to stabilize households at risk of losing their housing.

“As realtors, we believe strongly in the power and necessity of safe housing for every member of our community,” said Heidi Brooks, Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Realtors community involvement committee chair. “We are honored to support Chautauqua Opportunities and the critical services they provide to residents in crisis.”
