Panama Central Honors Students Of First Quarter
PANAMA – Panama Central School officials recently announced the school’s Students of the First Quarter. They are:
Walker Eggleston, seventh grade and the son of Adam and Bessie Eggleston of Panama. Walker is an Honor Roll student whose favorite subject in school is math. He is a member of the middle school Student Council as treasurer of his class. His teachers say he is always willing to participate, often showcasing his deep understanding by thinking out loud to solve problems. Walker also participates in the PCS band. Outside of school Walker enjoys reading, playing PlayStation, and watching sports such as football, basketball and baseball. His favorite book is the Treasure Hunter Series and enjoys listening to country music.
Cameron Short, eighth grade and the daughter of Ryan Short. Her favorite subject in school is technology and her teachers say she embodies excellent citizenship, frequently volunteering and working alongside her peers to help them succeed. Cameron is on the modified basketball team this year and is also a member of a chess club. Outside of school she enjoys listening to Zombies music and the movie The Cat in the Hat.
Dylan Peters, ninth grade and the son of Bethany Anderson and Aaron Constantino of Ashville and Nolan Peters. He is a dedicated student both in the classroom and on the field or court. His hard work has paid off as he is on the merit roll this quarter. Dylan played on the junior varsity CSP Wolfpack football team this fall and also enjoys throwing shot put. Teachers at PCS say Dylan is a focused and respectful student. His favorite school subject is social studies. Dylan enjoys listening to sludge metal music and watching the series MD House in his free time.
Nora Daniels, 10th grade and the daughter of Kari and John Daniels of Ashville. Nora is a hard working student who has persevered and worked hard to earn a spot on the Merit Roll this quarter. Global Studies is her favorite subject. Her hobbies include soccer, snowboarding and hunting. While in school Nora participates in chorus and outside of school enjoys listening to her favorite music group, The Lumineers. Her favorite TV show is Impractical Jokers.
Jack Martin, 11th grade and the son of Jonathan and Sara Martin of Panama. He is on the Honor Roll and according to his teachers he is very bright, hardworking and goes beyond the core content. His favorite subject at PCS is English. Jack is a member of the National Honor Society and also participates in Science Olympiad. When not focused on schoolwork, Jack enjoys coding, playing video games, and electronics. He listens to pop music and his favorite book series is The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.
Autumn Rumaihi, 12th grade and the sister of Blayne Rumaihi of Panama. She is on the Honor Roll at PCS and is involved in numerous school activities. Autumn is the president of the class of 2026, SADD president, and National Honor Society vice-president. She also participates in Women in Leadership, mentoring younger students, 5&2 packing, Science Olympiad, and is on the CSP Track and Field team. She enjoys cooking and baking, photography and hanging out with her friends when not in school. Autumn uses her photography skills to help with the PCS yearbook, which is her favorite part of school. She also likes to listen to SZA and watch the series Motorhead.
