Home Care Association Honors Members

Chautauqua County Home Care Association members honored during the association’s recent annual dinner include: Heather Flurie, Brandi Briggs, Nathan Brewer, Cheryl Lockhart, Emily Morales, Diana Johnson and Bailey Berg.

In recognition of November as National Home Care Month, the Chautauqua County Home Care Association hosted its annual dinner recently at the Frewsburg American Legion, bringing together healthcare leaders, agency representatives, families, and community members.

The event honored eight individuals whose compassion, professionalism, and commitment have elevated the standard of care for residents throughout Chautauqua County. Representing hospice, home care, assisted living, memory care, and community-based support services, the caregivers were recognized for going above and beyond in their daily work.

Carmen Hlosta presented an official proclamation recognizing National Home Care Month and the contributions of home-care professionals across the county. Dr. Mary Ann Spanos, former director of the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging, spoke about the role of caregivers and the ongoing needs of the aging community.

Honorees recognized were:

– Heather Flurie, LPN, Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care

– Brandi Briggs, PCA/HCSS, New Visions Services

– Nathan Brewer, PCA, Venture Forthe
