Brio Bells Program Is Dec. 10 At Library

The James Prendergast Library will host the Brio Bells handbell choir from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Both the Brio Bells concert and an earlier concert by the Mozart Chorus, are funded by the Murray L. Bob Educational Initiative, created in memory of Murray L. Bob, longtime director of the James Prendergast Library and the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System. The fund supports free, all-ages arts and educational programming at the library.

Brio Bells is a community handbell choir from the Corry area. The choir participates annually in the Corry Community Christmas Music Festival and other community events, playing a variety of traditional carols and

holiday music. Both concerts will take place in the library’s Fireplace Room and are free and open to the public.

Also, in December, the library’s quarterly Half-off Booksale returns through Dec. 6. On Thursday, Dec. 4, and Friday, Dec. 5, fill a bag for $10. Those attending the sale Saturday, Dec. 6, can fill a bag for $5.

For the whole month of December, the library will hold a special book sale in the front lobby. Special book sale prices are marked, and these items are not included in the half-off sale or bag sale. Special items include new books, gift books, puzzles, and more.

The James Prendergast Library is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the library’s website at prendergastlibrary.org or its Facebook page for more information on programs and events. The library is located at 509 Cherry St., Jamestown. Free parking is available in the library’s lot adjacent to the building.

Starting at $3.50/week.
