The Zonta Club of Jamestown is supporting First House, a new women’s shelter program dedicated to providing transitional housing for women and their children.
Marcia Restivo, president of the Zonta Club of Jamestown, presented a check to Brigetta Overcash, representing First House, to assist with the program’s launch. The shelter, expected to open later this year, will provide safe, stable housing for six to eight women and their children as they work toward independence and self-sufficiency.
First House is a step in addressing the need for transitional housing in Chautauqua County, providing both a secure environment and access to resources that help women rebuild their lives.
