Shults Subaru Teams With Humane Society
As part of its Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Shults Subaru provided the Chautauqua County Humane Society with direct funding, through a grant administered by the ASPCA, to help the Chautauqua County Humane Society cover essential costs for preparing animals for adoption, veterinary expenses, holding a community microchip clinic as well as a Subaru Loves Pets adoption event at the CCHS Pet Expo ’25.
According to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 61 pets were microchipped during a community microchip clinic recently.
“That’s a lot of pets who will be much safer now if something happens where they get away from home,” said Brian Papalia, Chautauqua County Humane Society communications and fundraising director. “The support from the ASPCA’s Subaru Loves Pets grant made this clinic possible.”
The Subaru Loves Pets Partnership with Shults Subaru also was part of the Subaru Loves Pets adoption event, Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown.
“We were thrilled to take part in the first annual Pet Expo hosted by the Chautauqua County Humane Society,” said Savannah Frey, Shults Subaru sales assistant/delivery specialist. “As part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, we were proud to support local pet adoptions by providing New Pet Parent Kits to families welcoming cats and dogs into their homes. We also had a great time giving away our “Chewbaru” toys — dog chew toys shaped like the Subaru Outback! It was such a wonderful event, and we’re already looking forward to next year.”
