Mayville Senior Citizens Meet
MAYVILLE – Twenty-nine members of the Mayville Senior Citizens met recently for a potluck lunch.
Dianne Goodrich, devotional chairperson, told three short stories after which she led the group in the Lord’s Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Linda Anderson, goodwill chairperson, led the group singing happy birthday to nine members with October birthdays: Ernestine Cruzado, Ann Heilman, Laurie Magnuson, Sue Beneberg, Marge Weise, Darlene Harper, Jeff Wagner, Lois Maloy and John Krol.
The secretary’s report was read. Motion was made by Bonnie J. Johnson to accept the minutes; seconded by Joyce Ayers; carried. The treasurer’s report was read by Kathie Sukalac. A motion to accept the report was made by Sharon Plucinski; seconded by Nancy Peters; carried.
Sharyn Giardina, Senior Council representative, reported 23 people were at the last meeting. Bridgette Paoletta from the county Office for the Aging was their speaker. A designer purse from one of the members is going to be given away off at the Trivia Contest in May for the benefit of the Council. They will be participating in Santa for Seniors again this year.
Robin Carr, tour director, is working on a tour on Nov. 29 for $125 to Oil City, Pa., involving a Santa Train Ride. She also informed members of several local events/festivals taking place throughout the county during the rest of October and into November.

New member Matt Hurlburt and guest Lester Lucas were welcomed.
Ten people won door prizes–Gwen Thorp, David Thorp, Darlene Barney, Bonnie J. Johnson, Nancy Peters, Chip Winchell. Robin Carr, Dianne Goodrich, Bonnie L. Johnson, Rita Himes. The lottery was won by Becky Dalziel.
After the meeting, Patricia Cook and John Savage performed.
