Krauza Meets With Businesses On Campaign Trail

Greg Krauza, candidate for Chautauqua County clerk, spoke about the businesses he has visited during the campaign.

Krauza said, “Since the clerk manages the Department of Motor Vehicles I have stopped at most of the auto dealerships throughout the county, both large and small, and have found some opportunities to improve service and increase revenue for both the dealers and the county. As a business owner I understand the importance of timely and consistent delivery. The large dealers are dealing directly with the state and while efficient, costs both them and the county revenue. The smaller dealers have had mixed results that cause some frustration. I am committed to using my experience to streamline the process, add technology and use staff input and development to ensure a positive experience every time.”

Krauza is confident that his approach, that includes listening to stakeholders to understand their needs and empowering staff, will yield the results needed. This will lead to decreased expenses for the auto dealer and increased revenue for the county. “This is just the tip of the iceberg,” Krauza said. “We will look at every area of the clerk’s office to find where we can improve service and increase revenue”

Krauza then addressed another area his campaign has focused on. “The response from both businesses and individuals has been overwhelming. We are all feeling the tax burden created by the inefficient delivery of service.

“We desperately need structural change in so many areas. I will work with the county leadership and every town, village or city that is looking to reduce its tax burden. This can be done without losing jobs or changing municipal identities. I love the history and traditions of our county and it is a misconception that developing consolidated services jeopardizes that history and tradition.”

Finally Krauza addressed his experience. “I have managed staff the size of the Clerk/DMV located at multiple offices. Finally I have managed budgets in both the private and public sector larger than that of the Clerk/DMV.”

Krauza thanked all who have supported his campaign. He went on about meeting so many positive people on the campaign trail and emphasized the importance of voting. “I am asking for your vote and pledge to give you the results and effort you deserve,” he said. “Please take the time to vote and effect the direction of your county.”
