Alice Putnam Chapter Of The Colonial Dames XVII Century Meet

Alice Putnam Chapter Of The Colonial Dames XVII Century met recently in Elma.

President Barbara Pietro thanked Deborah Stauring for the Table Centerpieces that showcased the USS Sullivan. The US Navy was commissioned October 13, 1775, to fight in the American Revolution, and predates the nation’s founding. Lt. Richard J. Ryan from the US Naval Sea Cadet Program gave a presentation on the US Navy Program held at the USS Sullivan, highlighting the joint missions of the Colonial Dames and the Cadet Program.

Mary OShei announced that Cheryl Mackiewicz and Terri Bruno have completed five supplementals each and a total of 25 supplementals have been completed this year. The Alice Putnam chapter has given its support and met the quota of the National President’s goal of 10 supplementals for each state during her term. Linda Kuzara’s COA application was also mailed.

Secretary Myra Johnston distributed the minutes from October 2025 via email. Treasurer Bonnie Larkin gave printouts and reviewed the finances to Nov. 4 and proposed a budget for next year. A general discussion followed with all aspects presented.

Acting Scholarship Chairs Holly Kelly with Cheryl Mackiewicz are working on a scholarship plan and will have a proposal in April.
