LCDC Presents Lakewood VFD With Check

Billy Evans, Lakewood Community Development Corp. board president, presents a check to Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department officials recently.
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Community Development Corporation recently presented a $1,000 check to the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department in appreciation of its support during the inaugural Rock the Lake Summer Concert Series at Hartley Park.
The presentation took place recently at the Lakewood Fire Department in the Village, where Lakewood Community Development Corp. representatives recognized the department for their time, service and commitment to community safety throughout the year.
“The Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department played a vital role in creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all,” said Billy Evans, Lakewood Community Development Corp. board president. “We are honored to show our appreciation through this donation.”
Held across multiple summer weekends at Hartley Park, the Rock the Lake Summer Concert Series brought together residents, families, and visitors for live music, food, and local vendors in a scenic, community-focused setting. The fire department’s involvement ensured public safety at every event.
“The Lakewood Fire Department would like to congratulate the LCDC for a successful experience with this year’s Rock the Lake events. We were happy to have had a part in contributing to its success. We thank you for the donation that will be used to continue to provide fire protection and quality medical care to our residents,” said Lakewood Fire Chief Kurt Hallberg.
