County Clerk Candidate Addresses Bar Association

Greg Krauza, Democratic Party candidate for Chautauqua County Clerk, addressed the Jamestown Bar Association at the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown recently.

Krauza began by thanking the group for the opportunity and letting them know he understands how important the clerk’s office is to their business.

“I want to hear your thoughts, ideas or concerns regarding the clerk’s office both now, and if I am fortunate enough to be elected, anytime throughout my term,” Krauza said. “It is important to hear from everyone that uses the clerk’s office and the Department of Motor Vehicles if we are going to have continuous improvement.”

Krauza described his private sector experience creating and managing businesses that rely on quality customer service.

“For the last 30 years I have had to ensure that my staff and I delivered the service as promised. Through inclusive management we have identified needs and though training and continuous improvement systems we have accomplished that,” he said. “My professional experience makes me well qualified for the duties of the county clerk”

Krauza serves as a chairperson of the Fredonia Farm Festival and was a past chairperson of the Jamestown Gus Macker basketball tournament. He has also served as president of the Filling the Gap board, president of the Fredonia Community Chamber and as captain of an 11 Day PowerPlay team that has raised thousands of dollars to battle cancer.

“My commitment to the community shows I have the creativity, inclusive management style and leadership skills to get the job done,” he said. “As clerk I will focus my experience and skills on improving service and creating revenue.”

Krauza also spoke about his drive to see meaningful structural change throughout the county.

“We cannot continue to conduct business as we have,” Krauza said. “To relieve the tax burden on our residents I will encourage and support the kind of change we need to provide services in the most cost effective way. I have confidence in our municipal leaders and residents that given support, they can develop these efficiencies. I also am confident we can do this without losing jobs, without changing municipal boundaries and without losing valuable traditions.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
