City Woman Charged After Drug Bust

A Jamestown woman is facing charges after an investigation into narcotics activity in the city resulted in a large seizure of methamphetamine.

Cassandra M. Chadwick, 37, of 168 Barrett Ave., Apt 1, was charged Oct. 22 with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

According to officials, at 12:25 pm, a search warrant was executed at Chadwick’s Barrett Avenue address by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and the Dunkirk Police Department.

Police located Chadwick at the residence, and as a result of the search, investigators seized 7.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging used for the sale and distribution of narcotics, and $1,198. She was placed into custody, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.
