Investigations into narcotics activity in the City of Dunkirk led to two search warrants in two days.

Narcotics Investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 500 Deer St. on Wednesday with the Dunkirk Police Special Response Team making entry into the residence. Present at the residence was Luis A. Sanchez, 44, and Octavia Brown, 33.

A search of the residence allegedly resulted in a seizure of 28.7 grams of cocaine, scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $415 U.S. currency.

Both Sanchez and Brown were charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

On Thursday, narcotics Investigators from Dunkirk Police, Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police executed a search warrant at 317 Lake Shore Dr. East with Dunkirk Police making entry into the residence.

Located at the residence was 32-year-old Johnny Torres.

As a result of the search investigators allegedly seized 37.6 grams of crack cocaine, scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $1,014 US currency. Torres was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

All suspects were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department to be arraigned in the City of Dunkirk Court.
