The Rotary Club of Jamestown recently welcomed Michael Dobbins into its membership at its recent Recognition Dinner.

Dobbins was born and raised in Jamestown, attending Jamestown High School and graduating from Jamestown Community College. He attended the State University at Fredonia and graduated from Phoenix University with a degree in business administration. He was also formerly employed by Falconer Glass Industries.

Michael was married to David Riemer, and he is now widowed. When Dobbins retired after 22 years as a child support officer for the County of San Diego in 2024, he returned to Jamestown for family reasons.

Dobbins attended an event held at the Reg Lenna Civic Center and sponsored by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation where many local agencies were on display explaining their activities in the local area. Dobbins was very intrigued in Rotary and decided to attend a few meetings and then applied for membership.

He has already participated in several events sponsored by the club and is looking forward to becoming even more active.

Starting at $3.50/week.
