Puppies Are NCCR Dogs Of Week

A litter of eight tiny bundles of puppy joy recently arrived with their mom, surrendered by their owner who was unable to provide proper care for them. Although they are underweight and small for their age, just 4 pounds at 8 weeks old, they have all received a clean bill of health from their vet and are ready to find homes of their own. Their dad is a purebred german shepherd, and their mom is a mix of shepherd, red husky, and several other breeds. The pups are expected to weigh at least 40 pounds when full-grown, but may stay on the smaller side. As very young puppies, they will each need a family who can promise them a lifelong commitment of more than a decade where they will receive the daily training, exercise, and attention they need to become the best dogs they can be, and where they will get the patience, love, and kindness they need to thrive. Meet and greet appointments can be scheduled for families with approved adoption applications. Apply at www.caninerescue.org. For more information email adoptions@caninerescue.org.
