Fredonia Boil-Water Order Has Been Lifted

FREDONIA — Fredonia’s latest boil-water order has been lifted.

On Sunday afternoon, the Chautauqua County Health Department and village of Fredonia made the announcement for all village of Fredonia water customers, including customers within the Town of Pomfret. Two consecutive days of testing indicate that the water in the distribution system is safe for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, making coffee, etc.

All plumbing lines that have not been used regularly since the boil water order went into effect should be flushed before water from that line is consumed. This includes ice makers and refrigerator water dispensers.

It was the seventh boil order for Fredonia users in the last 32 months.

Starting at $3.50/week.
