The North Harmony Senior Citizens Association has received a Community Impact Grant from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation to assist with the installation of a new handicapped-accessible entry door, an important step in ensuring the facility is welcoming and accessible to all residents.
The project was made possible through a collaborative effort, with additional support provided by The Lenna Foundation and the Carnahan-Jackson Foundation. Together, these contributions highlight the ongoing commitment of local organizations to improving community spaces and supporting the needs of area seniors.
The North Harmony Senior Citizens Center is a nonprofit organization offering a variety of services and activities for seniors that include 101 members. Their building is open to any nonprofit, county organizations, private clubs, and other groups to use free of charge or for a small use fee. The Association will host a chicken barbecue and open house on Friday, Aug. 29, from noon to 4 p.m. at 5377 Stow Road in Ashville. The event will provide an opportunity for residents to tour the facility and learn more about the organization’s programs.
